Meet Dr. Rovner

Aron Rovner, MD


Dr. Rovner is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon. He is internationally recognized as a leader in spine surgery. He has been practicing spinal surgery with a minimally-invasive approach for 13 years in the New York and New Jersey area. Dr. Rovner was born in Brooklyn, NY, and has been a New Yorker his whole life. After graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Rutgers University, he completed his medical training at the State University of NY Downstate campus with several honors. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Rovner completed a 5-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center. This is the main hospital system of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following his chief residency, he completed fellowship training in spine surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His fellowship provided outstanding training and allowed him to train with world-renowned leaders in spinal surgery.

Dr. Rovner resides in Manhattan, NY. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, as well as several other orthopedic societies. He has been honored with Patients Choice Award for 4 years, and he has been listed in Who’s Who in America. Dr. Rovner is an attending physician at Franklin General Hospital in Nassau County, and Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, NJ. He also performs minimally-invasive spinal procedures at several outpatient surgery centers. By focusing his practice on minimally-invasive procedures, Dr. Rovner’s patients typically have less postoperative pain, faster recovery, minimal blood loss, and smaller scars — resulting in happier patients.
