Vacationing With Chronic Pain – Part 5

Vacationing With Chronic Pain – Part 5

Vacationing with chronic pain doesn’t have to be an ordeal. There are things that people have done for years to make it possible for them to get away from daily life even though they suffer discomfort. At the Spine INA, we proudly offer extensive solutions like sciatica treatment, but we also offer education. Read our tips for a great vacation below!

Include a recovery day

  • We know this isn’t always possible, but if you can plan at least one day off after you return from vacation, you will be very glad you did! Many vacations are equal parts enjoyable and tiring, and having at least one day to recover before returning to the daily grind will make a huge difference for you.

Communicate with your travel companions

  • Sharing experiences with others is one of the best things in life, and you should never believe that chronic pain makes you a bad travel companion. Even people who aren’t in pain require accommodations. The key to any great experience is good communication. Take the time to talk about what you and your companions want out of the trip as well as what you can handle. Remember that a great vacation is about spending time together and creating memories. It isn’t always about seeing the most places!

When you need an ally against pain in your life, turn to us. We are ready to show you that relief is possible, and you can truly live life to the fullest! It’s time for things to change!
